Texas peace officers, jailers and telecommunicators complete continuing education in two-year training units set by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE). My TCOLE cycle in your dashboard sidebar shows where you stand in the current unit:
- Hours this unit — approved training on your Nuvola transcript inside the current unit, against the hours your license type requires, with the days left.
- Mandated courses — the courses TCOLE requires every unit (or every other unit, or once), each marked Done, Needed or overdue, with a Take it here link when we offer that course.
- Completed this unit — the list of courses that counted.
Set your license type. The picker at the top ("I am a peace officer / jailer / telecommunicator") changes the required hours and the mandated list. Where a list is still being confirmed against TCOLE's rules, the page says so; your hours still count.
Only training on your Nuvola transcript counts here. Courses you took elsewhere are not shown. Your official record is the one TCOLE holds; this page is a planning aid, not a substitute for it. If you hold accounts at more than one agency on Nuvola, link them (see Linking accounts across agencies) and the hours from both appear together.
Something looks wrong? If a course you finished is missing, ask the assistant "audit my completions" first — it finds completions that never posted to your transcript.
You can also ask the assistant "where am I in my TCOLE cycle" for the same numbers in chat.
