This one-hour TCOLE continuing-education course prepares advisory board members, training coordinators, and training administrators to serve on a Texas training provider advisory board under Occupations Code 1701.252 and 37 TAC 215.7. You will learn the three types of TCOLE training provider contracts, what the board does and what it may not alter, the board's minimum membership and meeting requirements, its duties and report-request authority, the training coordinator's role, and the Penal Code offenses that apply to board conduct, all practiced through realistic board-meeting decision scenarios. To earn credit, complete every unit, work every scenario, and pass the final exam; this course satisfies the commission-developed advisory board training required of newly appointed board members.
